KEEPER KIDS

Designed for kids ages 5-12, this unique hands-on 30-minute program teaches kids about grizzly bear eating habits. Then they will accompany the naturalist into the bear habitat to hide food for the bears. After the food is hidden, they can see first-hand how bears use their sense of smell to search out the food they had hidden.

This is a first-come first-serve activity offered twice a day in the summer (once a day in the fall, spring, and winter). Space is strictly limited to 30 kids per session. Sign up at the admissions counter. There is a $5 participation fee. Kids can fill out an educational scavenger hunt and choose their favorite animal button as a souvenir.

RAPTOR RAP

Discover all the facts about the birds of prey that reside at the Center.

All of the birds that are permitted to reside at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center have been determined, by veterinarians, to be non-releasable into the wild. Some of the birds have been hit by vehicles and are unable to fly or see well, others have behavioral challenges that make it impossible for survival in the wild.
